Charlton has today announced that youngsters Albie Morgan and Josh Davison have both signed new long-term contract extensions and it’s great news to know that they are now both secured as Charlton players for the next coupe of years.

I did have a feeling that one of these two would attract attention from some bigger clubs but the great news is that Albie Morgan has signed up until 2023 and Davison has signed a two-year contract extension with an option for a further year.
I think with this news coming out we might see a couple more contract extensions take place before the seasons up. Would be good to get everyone secured so they can all look to the future together, I feel things like that will always create more togetherness in the squad and it’s that togetherness that has always helped us against the odds.
Josh Davison signed for Charlton’s academy from Enfield Town and with the injury problem hitting its peak around November/December it gave Davison a chance to feature for the Addicks seven times and he has scored one goal in his first season in the Championship.
Albie Morgan started out in the CAFC academy, he has been plying his trade in SE7 since he was just nine years old and has made 23 appearances in an Addicks shirt so far and after a fantastic performance on the weekend against Hull, this news is a perfect way to cap off that game.
Looks like we will be seeing these two feature more in the future for Charlton, great news to hear that they have been tied down on new deals!
