Albie Morgan is “over the moon” about signing a new deal at Charlton

|

Today we received some great news regarding player’s contracts as Albie Morgan and Josh Davison signed new deals with Albie signing on until 2023.

Can you get 25/25 on this former Charlton players quiz? I bet you can’t, but feel free to prove me wrong!

Who is this?

Morgan has made 13 appearances for The Addicks in the Championship so far this season and has contributed two assists one of them coming in the away fixture against QPR setting up Lyle Taylor’s close-range shot and the other coming from the 3-2 home victory against Bristol City just five days later.

With his latest performance catching the eye of many Charlton fans, I think it’s safe to say his latest performance did influence this news a little bit.

The 20-year old spoke to the club’s official website about his new contract extension and here is what he had to say

“I’m over the moon to get it sorted, I’ve been at the club since I was very young so it’s good to get my future sorted. I’m at a point were I’ve always wanted to get to. I’ve put a lot of work in and got myself into the best shape I’ve ever been in. I want to keep that going and keep putting in the good work.”

At the club, since he was nine Albie has become a very well known player amongst the Charlton community and is someone that is expected to hit the heights with his career whether it be with Charlton or someone else, but for now he will thankfully be staying with us.

I think he will be able to go far in his career, I have heard things about his attitude not being so great, but he does very well on the pitch regardless and could get better with each game he plays.

Good luck to Albie with the rest of the season and his future with The Addicks!
