Regan Charles-Cook has given his own interview after making his Championship debut in the game against Hull yesterday.

Having already taken praise from head coach Guy Luzon following his performance on the day as a late second half substitute, Charles-Cook told the Official Site that he was absolutely buzzing, especially having experience The Valley ‘shake’ when we scored the winner late on.

The 18 year old explained.

‘The stadium exploded, the ground was shaking and I just saw everyone running over to the corner. We were all sprinting and it was like we had won the Champions League! It was a great three points against Hull and it was amazing. I`m completing buzzing – over the moon – to have made my debut in the league. It is such a great experience for me.’

With the versatile Charles-Cook being used in pre season, he went on to say that having now made his bow he’s hoping for more action and he doesn’t care where he plays as long as he’s doing a job for us and for him personally the faith that Luzon has in him and his fellow young colleagues is obviously a boost.

‘Guy spoke to me and said he has belief in me. I`m glad he has belief in me to play in different positions. I`ve played at right-back, central midfield and left midfield, and it`s great for me that all of the staff have faith in me. I want to keep going and be able to play week in, week out. I need to make sure that I keep the door open and push through properly.’

With injuries hitting the youngsters are certainly going to be used this season and it’s up to them to justify their continued involvement although they will no doubt all have their up and down moments as they continue to develop further but Luzon certainly doesn’t seem to mind throwing them in when needs must.
