Breaking: EFL suspends The Football League as Coronavirus effects most sporting events

|

Well not a few seconds after I put out the article saying The EFL are ‘set’ to suspend this weekends fixtures, they have now taken the decision along with The Premier League to suspend all games until the 3rd of April.

Can you name every league position Charlton has finished in within the last 20 years? I bet you can’t but feel free to prove me wrong!

Where did Charlton finish in the 2019/20 season?

The news comes after Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta and Chelsea player Callum Hudson-Odoi has been tested positive for Coronavirus whilst players from all over England are self-isolating themselves.

In a joint statement from The EFL, FA and Premier League they explained the reasoning behind their decision to postpone all games until the 3rd of April.

“The decision is being made purely on the number of cases requiring self-isolation and the impact on facilities. Given the steps being taken across clubs, there is no alternative but for today’s action.

“However, all parties are committed at this time to trying to complete this season’s domestic fixture programme and are liaising to establish appropriate options to do so.”

Let’s hope the numbers of people who have the Coronavirus start to deplete and the world can go on as normal because right now, it’s starting to get scary.
