Bowyer reveals some positive news regarding injuries

|

After illness has swept through Sparrows Lane, Lee Bowyer finally had some positive news about injuries to report and Charlton will celebrate with jubilation after what he has just revealed.

Jonny Williams and Sam Field will both be available for Saturday’s trip to West London as we face Queens Park Rangers.

Bowyer spoke with Richard Cawley from The South London Press and he had this to say

“Sam is due to be back with us Wednesday and hopefully he and Jonny will get through the next couple of days. We have to be careful – like with Lyle [Taylor]. Lyle will be ready to start now. Whether we just chuck him in, I don’t know.

“It might be a case of giving him another 45 minutes. We’ll see how it goes this week.

“At least a couple more are coming back.”

It’s good to see that Bowyer is confident of chucking Lyle in as a starter it’s about time we saw that blonde head come out of the tunnel for a place in the starting XI.

I’m so happy that Jonny is almost back we have missed his presence so much as we have not won a game since he got injured in our 3-0 win against Derby County so will be great to see him back.

With Sam Field, he will provide a lot more depth in the squad which is something we are crying out for!
