Bowyer reveals main man has received a knock

|

He is one of if not our best player, Conor Gallagher has picked up a knock from the Boxing Day win over Bristol City and this is the kind of news nightmares are made of, but thankfully so far it doesn’t seem that bad and he could just be a doubt for the Derby County fixture on Monday.

So far this season I have been nothing but impressed with Conor Gallagher, he is a beast in the centre of midfield and works ever so hard for the team as our fight for survival takes a huge step forward.

However it looks like we will be without Conor for the Derby game, but who can forget the goal he scored against Derby at The Valley in our 3-0 win? Just thought id chuck that in there for good measure.

Lee Bowyer spoke with The News Shopper about Conor Gallagher and here is what he had to say

“He struggled before the game, he ain’t trained since the last game [against QPR]. He had a fitness test this morning, came through that okay, but then he got another whack on his hip.

“He tried to run it off and tried it run it off but couldn’t, so he had to come off. I don’t know [if he’ll be ready for Derby], all I know is we’re running out of players.”

Obviously, it is worrying to hear that he was struggling before the Bristol City game, but he is young and I think he will probably miss the Derby game but he will be back to full fitness afterwards.

Another injury to add to the list it seems to be a never-ending story for us Charlton fans.
