The last time I wrote a match preview the Addicks were chasing a fifth straight win, now they are looking to avoid a third straight defeat, for what would be the second time this season.
The Addicks have the advantage in the meetings between the two sides so it is crucial that this carries on.

The Bluebirds Team News:

Former Addicks striker Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink is doubtful along with Roger Johnson, Stephen McPhail and Paul Parry, who could all miss out.
Robbie Fowler is definitely out injured and Glenn Loovens is suspended.

Player to watch: Kasper Schmeichel

Surprisingly went from number one to number three at Manchester City in no time after a blinding start to the season, but is doing well during a loan period with Cardiff. We would hope he will be a busy man, how he copes with this is he is could be crucial.

The Addicks Team News:

Chris Powell looks set to start game number 250 for the Addicks despite not appearing to be fully fit just yet because Grant Basey is struggling.
Jerome Thomas looks like being kept out due to “injury”.

Player to watch: Zheng Zhi

If he can be at his very best he could prove the difference in this match.

Match Facts & Stats

The last meeting between the two sides came as little ago as last month, the Addicks saw off the Bluebirds 3-0 that afternoon at the Valley.
In all competitions, the head-to-head stats stack up like this with the Addicks having the advantage: the Addicks won 30, the Cardiff won 20, draws 15.

Ref Watch:

A must win match for the Addicks; the Bluebirds are struggling and need to be put to the sword.

  • Pardew is Sexy says:

Yeah tell me about it LOL !!!!!!!

  • Charlton Addickt says:

It should be the otherway round shouldn’t it, well I mean I don’t want us to keep losing away but I would rather than to keep losing at the Valley. But whatever though it’s another Addicks win!

  • Pardew is Sexy says:

Yeah keep up the away form and improve on the home form – it’s the only way forward 🙂

  • Charlton Addickt says:

The form at the Valley needs to improve. What we want out out this season needs to be build on a solid foundation at the Valley, currently we don’t have this and this could see us come up short?

  • Pardew is Sexy says:

If we are to go up this season, then our form at The Valley certainly has to improve. We still have some time to sort it out though – just hope we can….
