The Addicks are being linked with a January swoop for unsettled Reading striker Leroy Lita.
Alan Pardew is looking for striking reinforcements in January, and the latest name being linked is Leroy Lita who would seem to fit the bill perfectly but if he is allowed to leave the Royals he will most probably attract a lot of attention so convincing him to drop down a division back to the Championship, a division he helped the Royals leave the season before last could prove tricky.
Leroy Lita has found his first team chances limited so far this season, and Royals boss Steve Coppell had recently admitted that if he wanted to leave he would allow this. Leroy Lita can certainly score goals as he has already proved at this level, as well as in the Premier League but in order to sign him the Addicks would have to up their reported offer of £1million considerably.

If AP could sign Lita then he would be a wonderful signing, and just the type of striker that we need, but getting him could prove problematic as other Premier League sides would almost certainly be interested if he did leave the Royals. He would also cost a lot more than the reported £1million.

It might be “fantasy” as you put it, but it’s not my fantasy, if the papers put it out there its my duty to report their findings! I don’t think you will find I have said that the Addicks will sign him have I?
It would be a great signing for you guys. You seem to have a lot of ordinary strikers in the squad but he’s quality Championship level.
Only thing is, he’s a horrible, arrogant so-and-so off the pitch.
i cant see it happening seeing as he can score in the prem and is good at U21 level. Would be a great signing but Reading know his value and will over price him. I reckon they would want nearer £6M
Yeah, if you could get him for a 1 mil then your in dream land…but i think 3-4 mil is more likely….

There has been more talk about it over the weekend £3million minimum will be needed but I think you are right Jimmy a maximum of £6million could be needed, which doesn’t seem that likely?
