The Addicks and Hull have both been fined by the Football Association for failing to control their players and warned over their future conduct.

Fines handed out for the two clubs are £6,000 each after the clash between players and club officials at the match between the Tigers and the Addicks at the KC Stadium on October 2nd.

The flare up began when Tigers skipper Ian Ashbee went in late on Lloyd Sam, then appeared to not only hold him down but also kick him when on the ground! All the players then got involved in a melee, with those on the touchline also getting involved. Both players were sent off and despite and appeal Lloyd Sam’s suspension was upheld. Chief executive Peter Varney told the Addicks website: “We were given a very fair hearing. We accept the punishment which has been given to us, and we will not be appealing.”

A fine was always likely to happen, we just have to accept this (as Peter Varney says) and move on from it now, making sure it doesn’t happen again.

Let’s hope it doesn’t kick off again in the rematch

finned eh?….6 grand is nothing, i think its a token fine to save the refs blushes, the club has just paid it to make it go away.

It’s not a lot of money – but still….. I doubt it will happen again – or hope at least.

Very Unusual For An Addicks Side To Get Embroiled, But It Shows Passion At Least!

I hope it doesn’t kick off in the return match, I don’t think it will (hopefully!)

I hope it does not kick off either…both clubs would face a very hefty fine if it did……………..
