I had a feeling this night had more in store and here are with exactly that, and it looks as though we have more information on the takeover and that it is being headed up by a Manchester-based businessman Paul Elliott and a deal could be completed in the next 24 hours.

This comes after The Sun posted about Chris Farnell heading up a consortium to buy Charlton and it looks like Paul Elliott is really the man who is the head of the consortium as it was reported this evening by The Daily Mail.
It’s not exactly clear what is going on right now, however, I did speak to Chris Farnell via email this evening and he said “I can confirm I am not the purchaser nor is it headed by me” so looks like Paul Elliott is the closest thing we have got right now to piece together who the owner is.
A little bit of a background on who Paul Elliott is he is originally from Hammersmith, London and has made his money through properties before investing in hotels.
Currently, living in Manchester it also begs the question, does he know Matt Southall? Hey, could just be my anxiety speaking or just a complete coincidence, but us Charlton fans read into everything these days.
We will see what unravels in the next 24 hours, but who knows if this is any good for us.
