What It Could Mean If The Aribo Deal Goes Through

|

This is something none of us wanted to hear, but here it goes Joe Aribo could be leaving to pursue his career in Germany as the home of the Frankfurter, Eintracht Frankfurt are reportedly interested in signing the lively midfielder. There are also a few other names that are interested in signing the 22-year-old, keeping him in England Frank Lampard’s Derby could be a club he might go to, also Tottenham and Southampton have also been linked with Joe. Portuguese giants Benfica are also in the race for his signature.

If this move to the Bundesliga ends up going through in January it will be a devastating blow to our team. The only reason he has six months left on his contract is that Aribo’s wage was a victim to Duchatelet’s cut’s he was going to be offered a nice wage rise and then apparently, they retracted the offer and gave him a much smaller amount, so he rejected the contract which is fair enough. Roland is just the man who has taken many possibilities away from Charlton and if we end up losing Aribo in these circumstances I think the protests will start up again, we know that the deal is trying to be pushed through but it needs to happen ASAP otherwise we’re going to be experiencing a pretty dull January transfer window and let’s face we really need to use that wisely or just not use it at all if Roland is still here.

I reckon if the deal went through Aribo has got a lot of competition to get through at Frankfurt they have a large squad thirty-six players in their first-team to be exact with five out on loan and for Joe to take a huge step up from League One to the Bundesliga it may prove to be tricky for him at first however I reckon he could be a shining star and a future England player, but honestly we all just want Joe to stay he defiantly won’t have the chance of being a forgotten player at The Valley.
