Wednesday ended a run of four defeats at Hillsborough on Saturday when they inflicted a 2-0 defeat on the Addicks thanks to goals from Rhys McCabe and Jeremy Helan.

Charlton had a decent penalty shout turned down and a Danny Haynes effort ruled out for offside. Referee, Gary Sutton, sent Chris Powell to the stands after the Charlton manager spoke to him at the interval about the challenge on Yann Kermorgant, that he felt merited a spot-kick.

The Addicks now have two home fixtures against Ipswich on Boxing Day and Derby on Saturday.
