|

We are all in need of some good news am I right Charlton fans? Deadline day is upon us and we need to find those new signings quickly if we are to have any chance of staying up this season.

Who won player of the year in 2020?

We will start off with the injury update we have got today and it appears that Sam Field will be available for Charlton’s home fixture against Barnsley on Saturday which will also see Tahnoon Nimer come to The Valley for the first time since he bought the club.

Sam Field has not featured since the 23rd of October in the 2-1 away defeat to Bristol City where he lasted just 33 minutes before being taken off with a knee injury. Field has managed exactly 500 minutes in all competitions this season for Charlton.

Secondly, the latest bit of news comes from Sky Sports’ Lyall Thomas as he revealed today that Charlton have turned down an offer for 20-year-old Alfie Doughty as his performances are starting to attract attention.

Fulham will no doubt, be keeping tabs on the youngster as time goes on, but thankfully we are not ready to sell him yet.

So at least we have two positives going into this weekends game, but hopefully, I can update you later on or tomorrow about some new signings coming through the door!
