Two players who have never really been able to make a mark on Charlton are strikers Tomer Hemed and Chuks Aneke, but in Saturday’s game against Hull their performances certainly showed a lot more of what they can really do with a ball at their feet and they didn’t disappoint.

It took a lot of waiting and work to get Hemed into the club and so far he hasn’t been worth the wait, he has still not scored a single goal for Charlton in the 15 appearances he has made in a red and white top, but yesterday he showed that he can set things up and make opportunities happen, if he is not going to score any goals it would be nice to see him get a few assists, he got his first one against Hull on the weekend heading on Josh Cullen’s corner to Jason Pearce as he bundled the ball in the back of the net to bring all three points home.
Chuks Aneke is another who has failed to hit the mark scoring just once and providing one assist in the 13 games he has played, but he showed a huge improvement in his movement and desire to get forward he looked a lot quicker against The Tigers than he ever has so hopefully a big lad like him can add some more pace to his game because that will be very valuable going forward.
We asked the fans what they thought of Chuks Aneke and Tomer Hemed’s performances and here is what you all had to say!

Bowyer has got Hemed to put in a shift at last and is now playing as he should. Aneke looked big and fast and looked like a real threat. Bodes well considering Taylorโs refusal to play a couple of weeks back. Just need to finish chances!
