Sometimes You Have To Say “Well Done!”

Johnnie Jackson kept up his goalscoring form for Charlton in the weekends FA Cup draw against Luton, however it was praise for an opponent that The Addicks star has given.

Luton twice fought back from behind to force a 2-2 draw at The Valley on Saturday and it was Andy Drury’s second goal that has brought praise from Jackson.

Sometimes, even when you manage to restrict an opponent there are some goals you can do nothing about and Jackson knows that Drury’s 30-yard screamer was one of those, Jackson told ITV: “It was a great strike and worthy of getting a replay.

“They had a lot of possession but we generally limited them to long shots, unfortunately, he stuck one in the top corner.

“You have to give credit to the lad. He scored a blinder from about 30 yards and sometimes you can’t do anything about those.”

As Red God has already pointed out this draw will mean another game added to an already hectic schedule coming up over the next month or so, however that’s the way it goes isn’t it!
