After waiting all season long Lee Bowyer has finally been offered a new contract, unfortunately this contract is a “confusing one” which does not sound good for us and Bowyer in the slightest as the gaffer was offered a new deal via email on Wednesday.
I don’t like the way the club is handling this, it feels like they don’t know the seriousness of the situation and it is a jarring feeling for all of us Charlton fans as we edge ever closer to another season with Roland Duchatelet devoting his landmark 2% of his precious time to the club.
Lee Bowyer was in his weekly press conference today and here is what he had to say about his contract…
“I received an email last night but if I’m honest I don’t really understand it”
“It’s a bit different to any contract I’ve seen before. So I’ll go through and see if we can make any light of it, but yeah I’ve had a contract.”
We will have to see how this meeting with Richard Murray goes, if he’s seeking the help of someone to make sense of a deluded man then Richard Murray is the right guy for the job.
