Since it was announced by Charlton that the ESI has reached an agreement to buy the club spirits have been high about the future, not just because of the sale, but the people who are buying it and Matt Southall so far has earnt a huge amount of respect from fans.

Matt Southall visited the Charlton Upbeats yesterday and it will be on Sky Sports over Christmas which is also great for the Upbeats as they are all a great bunch of lads and gives this organisation the exposure it deserves!
His personality and compassion towards the fans and surrounding organisations associated with the club so far has been nothing short phenomenal and refreshing after having five years of neglect under Roland Duchatelet.

We are still awaiting EFL approval, but it surely can’t be long away, if they let Roland buy Charlton with hardly a blink of an eye they must let ESI in.
Southall already seems like one of us and I cant wait to see what he can do for our football. One thing is for sure if his approach towards football is as good as it is towards the community we are in for a great time!
