Charlton’s fixture congestion looks as though it will be eased slightly (for the time being anyway) as the tip to Rochdale is looking increasingly unlikely to go ahead.

Spotland will have a pitch inspection at 10am on Friday, however due to the snow throughout the country (with more to follow) it’s unlikely that this League 1 meeting will survive.

Even Rochdale chief executive Colin Garlick isn’t that positive, Garlick told The Official Rochdale Website: “Like many clubs we are at the mercy of the weather and though we have and are doing everything possible to play the game this weekend, it is looking increasingly unlikely the game will go ahead.”

Garlick says that Dale will do all they can to ensure this game goes ahead but want to give people as much notice as possible to prevent unnecessary travel.
