Alou Diarra: We Have To Stay Strong

After another defeat Charlton is in a very depressing place at the moment after many fans are talking about us going in to the relegation zone after terrible performances and half-hearted efforts from players but one man who has been the star of the team is Alou Diarra the 34 year old Frenchman is trying to keep the faith as he is arguably the best player at the moment after the defeat on Saturday he had this to say to the clubs website
“We have to stay strong in this situation, It isn`t easy, we have a very young team and we have to take game after game and look for maximum points.

“We are disappointed but we have to focus on the next game on Tuesday now, stay strong together and take the points.

‘We are unlucky that we have so many players injured like Simon Makienok and Igor Vetokele; these are experienced players for us. But we have to continue to create the chance to win in the future. We only need one win to begin a good run of results.’ Said the Frenchman as he spoke to the clubs website about the poor performance at the Madejski Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Diarra also added

“It was disappointing. We went there for an aim of a minimum of one point and we made one mistake and we paid for it.

“I think in the first half we did not play bad, we controlled defensively, we needed to create more chances but we stayed strong.

“There wasn`t actually too much difference between us and Reading, but after the sending off we were not in a good situation and conceded the goal.

“We have to learn after losing and I hope it will be better over the week and that we can get more confidence. We need to focus on the next match now.”
