Pardew Targets Top Two Finish

Prior to the Saturday evening’s 2-0 victory over Preston, Addicks boss Alan Pardew had spoken about the target of getting into the top two in the Championship this season.

Before the match with the Lilywhites Alan Pardew had told the Addicks Website: “Until we can’t mathematically win the league, we’ll be trying to win it. You have to aim for the top and see where you fall.

“At the moment we’re third, and after that many games that’s where we deserve to be. In the end, we hope to be second or first.”

If Alan Pardew had such high hopes before the win over the Lilywhites (a match in which the Addicks again scored late goals in either half through Zheng Zhi and Luke Varney) he must be even higher hopes now, as Watford lost so we are now only five points behind them, but still in third though after West Brom drew on Sunday.

What is the thought among the Addicks followers on this site on Alan Pardew’s thought? The top two has to be the aim doesn’t it, winning the Title must be an aim too surely? Share these feelings below so we can discuss them.
