Bent Wants to Stay at Wigan

Addicks striker Marcus Bent is hoping to make his loan move to Wigan a permanent one.

Marcus Bent has scored seven goals in fourteen matches for the Latics during his loan spell so far, and is very much enjoying this, saying that he would be “happy” to sign a permanent deal with the club: “I have come to Wigan to play in the Premier League, try to score goals, and do well for the club and myself,” Marcus Bent told the Wigan Evening Post.

“It’s up to Charlton and Wigan to sort out a deal.

“I would be happy to stay – the people on and off the pitch have been very good to me.”

I don’t think that too many people at the Valley would be disappointed if he did leave permanently, and if he could be sold in January it could give us some funds that we need to raise to buy new players.

What is the thought among the Addicks followers on this site on Marcus Bent’s thoughts? Will he stay with the Latics permanently, if so will this happen next month? Share these feelings below so we can discuss them.
