Charlton travel to St Mary’s on Saturday hoping to halt a run of 3 defeats on the trot while Southampton will be looking to heap further dismay on the Addicks as they also look to gain ground on the promotion spots.
Southampton should have a fully fit squad for the visit of Charlton. Jason Euell looks set to start against his former club after staking his claim for a regular place in the starting XI last week by netting against Burnley.
Charlton transfer target Grzegorz Rasiak will sit on the bench due to the good form of Bradley Wright-Phillips.
Jason Euell – Who else could it be? Could be the match winner for Saints.
Grant Basey will be hoping to keep his left back spot after making his league debut for Charlton last weekend at the tender age of 18.
Alan Pardew looks set to keep Sam Sodje at center back along with Jon Fortune.
Elsewhere Darren Ambrose should return to the squad of 16 and there could be a return to the starting XI for Jerome Thomas.
Danny Mills – Will look to get stuck in and turn Charlton’s fortunes around.
Charlton have not won an away fixture against Southampton for over 20 years.
St Mary’s is a hard place for any team to go and come back with a point let alone three. Charlton will struggle here but a win could re-invent their season.
