Charlton new boy Zheng Zhi again scored for the Addicks with a header, in last nights reserve match at Leyton Orient.
Charlton’s second string overcame a first-half injury to goalkeeper Joe Woolley to record a 1-0 victory against Orient.
It was the reserve’s first league match of the season and Mark Kinsella’s boys got off to a winning start last night. A 78th-minute header from China superstar Zheng Zhi, making his first appearance of the season in Charlton colours, proved the difference between the two sides.
One player who was due to feature was new signing Therry Racon. However the French u21 star didn’t receive international clearance and so he sat it out. He should however be available for selection for the 1st team`s home game with Sheffield Wednesday this weekend.
Good start by Kins` second squad and hopefully the 1st team will follow suit with our first win in The Championship this weekend
