Charlton defender Luke Young is on the verge of sealing a move to Middlesbrough after he passed a medical.
Young is set to move for a fee believed to be in the region of 2.5m.
Young has made over 200 appearances for Charlton Athletic since joining in 2001 and has also had a run in the England team.
All that is left now is for the player to agree personal terms with the club to complete the transfer.

why go to Boro, shudder, perish the thoughts! Thought Villa would be in for Young, oh well.
Boro are gettng an England standard defender for 2.5m – good price.
the chances are that he will only get one season in the premiership as boro will likely get relegated next may, so will he then leave boro for yet another premiership club?
