Welcome to word on the tweet where we gather the recent goings-on in and around Charlton on Twitter. After a dreadful performance in Lancashire, Charlton fans were not happy with the player’s desire in the defeat to Fleetwood and here are a few reactions…
absolutely… so deflating.was yesterday.
Hoping LB will be influential enough to fire them up and present an URGENT promotion-chasing looking side come Saturday #cafc— Footy_league (@Footyleague3) February 3, 2019

The face you pull when the owner sells your top scorer for 2 million quid, you don’t see a penny of it and sign Gillingham’s third choice striker #CAFC pic.twitter.com/UYLwsXoCta

#cafc The roller coaster continues. Team and fans need to stick together. Forget about the ownership, need to do our taking on the pitch. Regroup and reset for the next game! #charltonlive

As you can tell its not a happy time to be a Charlton fan, after such a passionate and strong start to the season everything seems to be a long way from what it was. All it took was losing Grant and not properly replacing him. Yes there is only one man we can blame for this situation, but all we can do now is get behind the team because if we don’t, nothing is ever going to get better, so let’s all stand up and support this fantastic team that has already given us a great first half of the season. Let’s help them take Charlton back to where we belong.
There was an U23s game today against Queens Park Rangers and we had a first-teamer who is in need of minutes and that is none other than Igor Vetokele and we ended up grabbing the win with both hands as we came out eventual 6-3 winners. Here’s some reaction from this game…
U23S | 2' GOAL! Wassim Aouachria puts the Addicks in front!
Vetokele races down the wing and clips in a cross for the striker to head home. #qpr 0 #cafc 1— Charlton Athletic FC (@CAFCofficial) February 4, 2019
U23S | 6' GOAL! Vetokele is back amongst the goals!
Mascoll crosses for Igor, who finishes from close range.
Great start by the Addicks. #qpr 0 #cafc 2— Charlton Athletic FC (@CAFCofficial) February 4, 2019
U23S | 22' GOAL! It's three for Charlton!
Aouchria is fouled in the box and Maloney steps up to tuck away the resulting penalty. #qpr 0 #cafc 3— Charlton Athletic FC (@CAFCofficial) February 4, 2019
54' GOAL! The Addicks have a fourth! Vetokele with another assist, teeing up Kenneth Yao. #qpr 2 #cafc 4

U23S | 60' GOAL! It's five for Euell's boys!
Aouchria latches onto a ball forward and dinks a lovely finish over the keeper for his brace. #qpr 2 #cafc 5— Charlton Athletic FC (@CAFCofficial) February 4, 2019
75' GOAL! Six for the Addicks!
Dempsey pokes home from close range. #qpr 2 #cafc 6— Charlton Athletic FC (@CAFCofficial) February 4, 2019
FULL-TIME | QPR U23s 3 Charlton U23s 6
QPR net another just before full-time, but it doesn't take the gloss of a fine Addicks performance in West London. #cafc

Good to see Igor getting on the scoresheet and an assist in the process. Hopefully he can take this in to his first-team game on Saturday and be an asset to the team like he was today. But those two levels of football are a totally different ball game altogether.
Also within the youth our U18s have been taking their game away from football and gone on to Boxing! This is a way to see how they can cope under pressure and as we know pressure comes in jugs at The Valley…
🥊 Our academy players stepped into the ring recently as part of the club's development plan 👇https://t.co/sSbUEiyCix #cafc pic.twitter.com/fz3xoKsJRZ
