What a Relief, and we Needed it

The last gasp win over Southampton on Saturday could prove the turning point in our season, and boy was it needed.

After three defeats in a row, although these were not exactly terminal, the last minute winner against the Saints on Saturday afternoon brought some welcome relief, and a much needed win, which reminded us what it was like to do that.

It is tough enough to win any match, let a lone a match away from home when you have ten men (as Jose Victor Semedo had been sent off) but we managed this and in the process managed to move back up to fourth place in the Championship, five points behind Bristol City in the second automatic promotion place. The fact that we are only five points adrift of them despite losing three in a row before this does show how tight things probably will be this season.

Quite often you have moment that turn a season, this last minute winner could prove just that for the Addicks?
