Watch Out Izale’s About

Addicks striker Izale McLeod’s ten-minute cameo at the end of the win over Norwich on Tuesday night might have played him into contention for a starting role this weekend against Leicester.

Izale McLeod replaced Luke Varney, who was making an impressive debut, with ten minutes to play with the scores at 0-0, and a draw looking likely.

His pace terrorised the Canaries defence, and after sending an effort just wide he then won two penalties in two minutes, both of which were successfully converted by Addicks captain Andy Reid to set up a 2-0 win.

Chris Iwelumo seems to be the number one striker, but Luke Varney’s impressive debut and Izale McLeod’s inspirational ten minute burst leaves Alan Pardew with a tricky decision this weekend, not forgetting Svetoslav Todorov, who wasn’t risked this week, after scoring his second goal in as many games last weekend.

What is the thought among the Addicks followers on this site on this striking issue? Would you go with Izale McLeod and Chris Iwelumo, or stick with Luke Varney, or even bring back Svetoslav Todorov? Share these feeling below so we can discuss them.
