Chris Iwelumo and Luke Varney are probably the best pairing that that Addicks have, so it was little surprise it went that way, but we still have a wealth of talent that can come in.

Is Chris Dickson going out on loan again a good thing?

I agree that it is a good thing to give him a little extra experience, but I just hope that he comes back and gets a chance this season, if he doesn’t I don’t think he will have that much of a future with the club?

All but one poll actually went the way that I had voted. What about you peps, how did you vote on them?
Iwelumo and Varney for the first! Went for the win for the second. Oh I’m with the ‘in crowd’ !!! But for the 3rd I said: “No he should have stayed here” – that’s my 8% worth I think LOL Yeah I’d like to have seen him given the chance, but we have lots of players – so would he have got the chance? After bagging him last season, and seeing what he could do – was really excited about seeing him get a chance. I can understand that it’s extra experience yeah – but surely we’d want him to get experienced within our team? See how he fits in? But yeah I see it from both points of view. Anyway that’s my thoughts LOL 🙂
i went with the majority on all of them..Chris Dickson has a lot of potential, but his positioning and his football brain needs to be switched on…i have seen some footage of him on youtube, and he doesnt like to pass, he even ran into his own strike partner a couple of times just os he could get the shot in..i can see the boss screaming at him to pass, or to get back onside, or to make a run…I am not criticizing Chris…he will be big for us…he just needs to learn that its a team game…and where to be..if he was in the first team now..he would be getting booed by half time…so its good that he is going to other clubs to learn the important stuff….has anyone noticed that he hasnt scored for the gills, and didnt for crewe either??
He’s probably only played the once match for the Gills though hasn’t he. The time away will do him good, keep him out until Christmas perhaps, bring him back with some first team experience, and hopefully goals under his belt, then unleash him in the second half of the season, to see what he can do.
