Should Igor Vetokele complete his exit from Charlton, which would be with us getting a transfer fee, he’ll be heading to Belgium whereas former Addicks loanee Makienok will remain in the county following his ultimately disappointing spell at the Valley.

The News Shopper reports ‘advanced negotiations’ with Sporting Lokeren are taking place with Vetokele.

Makienok is still technically on loan with Charlton from Palermo but is set for Preston?

Looking at Vetokele first, injuries limited his impact at the Valley last season with him managing just 18 first-team appearances but rumour has it his previous form has convinced the Belgian club to part with £1.5m for the 24-year-old.

Danish international Makienok has, according to the Lancashire Evening Post, been in talks with Preston in ‘recent days’ with this seeing the Championship side agreeing to a year-long loan that will kick in on 1st July with his Charlton spell officially expiring at the end of this month.

The 6ft 7ins target man was signed for £2m by Palermo but a year with the Italian side saw him make limited appearances scoring five-goals in his 36-matches for us this season, 22 were as a starter.

Should Vetokele complete his exit do you think we’ll miss him?
