Charlton’s number one had a good season last term providing a very reliable service for The Addicks between the sticks, however, it looks like his time at Charlton will be coming to an end very soon after relegation back to League One and the potential expulsion from the Football League on the horizon.

With Phillips being a Charlton fan I do feel he will have more fight than to jump ship at the first opportunity, but apparently, he has had talks with Blackburn Rovers in the Championship and who can really blame him, I mean look at the mess we have become.
Alan Nixon confirmed the news via Twitter as Phillips looks to be off to the Championship.

Phillips played in all 46 of Charlton’s Championship fixtures and although he conceded 65 goals they were mainly down to leaky defensive movement because he was great for us last season putting in some fantastic performances.
It’s going to be sad to see him go, but along with everyone else at the club today I don’t see them there much longer.
