When you’re an up and coming young footballer you can’t beat the benefits of playing first team football.

No amount of reserve team, or development, football will ever really prepare you for first team football. Of course that, over nothing at all, helps but the real test is playing league games and Adebayo Azeez will now have a chance to get some football under his belt.

The England youth international has been loaned out to league two outfit Torquay on a youth loan.

Previous spells have been spent with Wycombe Wanders and Leyton Orient and now he’ll have a chance of furthering his development with the Gulls, and he’ll spend at least a month at Plainmoor.

On the capture of the striker Torquay boss Alan Knill said: ‘Ade is an exciting young forward. He’s got an abundance of pace and gives us something different.’

I think I’ve made it quite clear that I’m very keen on this move as it’ll benefit Azeez without a doubt, which will (all being well) be of benefit to us in the long run and I look forward to seeing how he performs…
