Tigers and Addicks Charge by the FA

As had been expected the FA looked at the ‘mass brawl’ which broke out in the match between the Addicks and Hull last week, and both sides have been charged.

An incident involving Tigers skipper Ian Ashbee (who I still maintain was the aggressor in the whole incident!) and Addicks midfielder Lloyd Sam led to the melee that involved players and coaches from both sides, players that were playing and were substitutes, before the pair were both sent off.

The Addicks appeal of Lloyd Sam’s sending off was off course, as we know, rejected and both clubs have now been charged with failing to ensure players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion and refrained from provocative behaviour.

I can accept that, I just can’t accept so much of the other rubbish the FA do (or don’t do!)
