The Boys Are Back In Town

|

It’s not going to be the same for a while, but Charlton are back at Sparrows Lane for their training sessions after COVID-19 brought a full stop to the football season, leaving Charlton sitting in the relegation zone.

Can you get 25/25 on this former Charlton players quiz? I bet you can’t, but feel free to prove me wrong!

Who is this?

Training will be non-contact for now as part of the EFL guidelines which makes this session particularly harder to get on with as they have had to take a drastically different approach than what they normally would.

Director of Football Steve Gallen has spoken to the club’s website this morning about the return to training and he said that there are two people in particular who should take a lot of credit and they are club doctor Chris Jones and Head of Medical Services Alistair Trush, the training session would not have been possible without them.

“A lot of preparation has gone into just getting us to this point and our operations team, as well as our Head of Medical Services, Alistair Thrush, and Club Doctor, Chris Jones, must take a lot of credit.”

“I’ve been told the pitches are looking good too which is a testament to the hard work of Head Groundskeeper Paul Geary and his team.

“There is still a long way to go before we are playing football but hopefully today will be a positive first step in our fight to secure our Championship status.”

It’s great to see the team back at Sparrows Lane and hopefully the real training will be able to continue soon, let another pre-season begin!
