Takeover News Emerges From The Valley

|

There is always one thing on a Charlton fans mind and unfortunately its been on our minds since around January, when is this takeover finally going to happen?

Once again we got more news from the club and this piece of news sounds a bit more promising than the last. Apparently there are five parties interested in buying The Addicks, we are not sure who they are or where they come from, except for the Australian consortium.

Now with Aussies we have been told by Roland Duchatelet’s representative Lieven De Turck that they are yet to file necessary documents to the EFL. It has also been confirmed that with the Australians they will have other groups involved in the process.

Moving on to one of the other parties interested in the takeover, it is not clear exactly who they are, however they have recently become more active and the group have also met with Leiven De Turck. This group have decided they wanted to stay “off the radar”.

A European party has also visited the club and has been given access to the data room and are apparently spending money on due diligence.

With the other two there is not much information on them at this moment in time. De Turck also mentioned the situation with Fawaz Al Hasawi, in where a picture appeared on Twitter of him standing in one of the function rooms at The Valley. Since this has gone up LDT stated that they both signed an NDA and then the trust was broken.

All of this sounds like a very unprofessional process is taking place at The Valley and that is no surprise as we know the man who we are dealing with. I just want this all to be over so we can look to a bright future with new owners and a new start.
