Following an impressive debut for Charlton Chris Powell said he was keen to extend the loan spell of John Sullivan until the end of the season.

The goalkeeper, on loan from our rivals Millwall made his debut against Oldham Athletic last week and pulled off some good saves as well as showing good command of his area when deputising for the injured Rob Elliot and Ross Worner in the 0-0 draw.

Sullivan’s loan was due to end after the match against Huddersfield Town tomorrow, however Powell was looking to extend this, Powell said: “I’ll be looking to make sure we are not caught short.

“I’ll be hoping to extend it but we obviously have to have discussions with Millwall.”

The Addicks boss saw his wish granted this morning when Sullivan’s loan was extended until the end of the season.
