Striker Leaves On Loan

|

It looks like this is the last we will see of Nicky Ajose in a Charlton shirt as he leaves for Mansfield Town for the rest of the season. Nicky has the quality as I have spoken about in a previous article, but for Lee Bowyer, it looks like the final straw has been broken as he sends him on loan to the League 2 promotion Chasers.

During his time at Charlton Nicky failed to live up to his hype after scoring twenty-five goals in one season for Swindon Town, since that season which so far has proved to be his best season yet, he has been sent out on loan to Swindon and Bury scoring nine goals in twenty-nine appearances for both clubs altogether which indicates that he is not going to repeat that feat in League One.

He was showing some signs of improvement, however, the boss has sanctioned this move away from The Valley in an effort to bring in another striker before the window ends we will just have to wait and see who this new striker could be.

I would like to see us sign a youngster from the Premier League such as Tahith Chong from Man United or Emile Smith Rowe from Arsenal any of those two would be great but kind of unlikely, but you never know what can happen in football.
