So far transfer deadline day seems to be a frustrating one for us Charlton fans. Since Karlan Grant left for Premier League Huddersfield Town for £2m, Charlton have been trying to bring in a new striker, but yet again our deluded owner Roland Duchatelet has butted in again and taken that £2m that we so badly need right now to replace Grant, to be honest, it’s no surprise this has happened.
Steve Gallen has provided us with an update on our current situation and he told the clubs official site this as everyone will be aware, we are looking to bring in a striker before the transfer window closes. We’ve been working hard, we have our targets and things are progressing. We anticipate it could be a late finish this evening.”

So by the look of we could be up all night waiting for this to happen and the pressure is really getting to me and I’m sure a lot of other fans are too. But Gallen looks to reassure fans by telling us it will happen today because we can’t afford to not bring anyone in at this moment of time especially with how our squad is right now, it needs a much-needed boost.
