Reports in The South London Press say that Sam Sodje could be leaving Charlton again with the defender moving abroad?

Sodje eventually returned to The Valley when he left Leeds United, however The SLP says that they understand that the Nigerian international is ready to complete a move to a club in Greece. Losing the defender would be another blow for Phil Parkinson but Christian Dailly could give him a welcome boost by returning to pre-season training next week?

Dailly is out of contract but the 36-year-old, voted or Player of the Year last season is expected to hold talks with Parkinson over a new contract next week, Parkinson told The SLP: “I would like Christian to stay and we`re working hard to make that happen.

The veteran Scottish international could form a central defensive partnership with our new signing Gary Doherty, with one of these likely to become the new Addicks skipper after Nicky Bailey’s exit.

What is the thought among the Addicks followers on this site on Sam Sodje reportedly moving to Greece and Christian Dailly maybe returning? Share these feelings below so we can discuss them.

Why shouldn’t Sam be any different to others that have left. Dailly returning would be a welcome boost even if he’s old enough to be the father to most of our others players.

I believe that Dailly missed only one game last season. How fit is that! We must find a way to keep his experience on board for the new campaign. Money will always be a stumbling block, but the fans like him, he appeared to enjoy his football with us and he might just be prepared to settle for a little less to stay. What am I saying? I have just remembered where he hails from!
