Russell Slade, who has made it clear he’ll be in charge of the transfer dealings at the Valley (or feels he will) with the new Charlton boss claiming to have the final say on who (and who doesn’t) come and go from SE7 this summer?

Simon Makienok (on loan from Palermo last season), Reza Ghoochannejhad, Zak Ansah and Yaya Sanogo (on loan from Arsenal) were on the list of players leaving the club this summer with Slade, along with Chief Scout Steve Head, who came in just ahead of the boss, are looking to bring in players.

The ones being turned to will be players who could, if not should, be capable of a promotion push, which is something Slade is being challenged with at Charlton but it isn’t thought this is an absolute must or he’ll go?

Alex Revell has worked with Slade at two of his previous clubs with Cardiff the one that sold him to MK Dons, with them also working together at Leyton Orient.

Could they do this again at Charlton?

The South London Press has reported an interest in him but as he’s still got a year on his MK Dons contract, who like us dropped out of the Championship into League 1 last season, a fee would be required.

Assuming Revell is available, with it claimed he’s being ‘fought for by a large number of sides’ at this level, Slade’s previous with him should help though you feel.
