It’s been a while since we have had the privilege of drooling over a strike partnership since the famous G&T relationship came to an end as Karlan Grant sealed a move to Huddersfield Town in January 2019. Saying that now it seems like this happened years ago.
However, on January 2nd 2020 we signed Andre Green on loan from Premier League side and former European Cup Champions Aston Villa after a turbulent loan spell at Championship rivals Preston North End.
He made just four appearances amounting to only 87 minutes of game time and seeing the way Andre is performing for us at the moment, it does make you think what Alex Neil didn’t see in the 21-year-old to hand him such little time to prove himself on the pitch.
In a recent Instagram post by star striker Lyle Taylor, the 29-year-old teases their relationship to be around the same sort of his and Karlan’s when he was at the club.

Looks like we got our G&T back at least until the end of the season as Andre will be sent back to the Midlands and Taylor’s contract will run out too.
Let’s enjoy these moments while they last, this next half of the season is going to be a rollercoaster ride!
