Charlton could be in line for another takeover with a Russian investment group believed to be lining up a bid to takeover at the Valley.

Tony Jimenez and Michael Slater are thought to be “considering selling the club to allow new money to fuel a fresh promotion push” in the hope of the club returning to the topflight having been out of the Premier League since 2007.

A Turkish bid came in last year, which was considered but no takeover took place.

Sunday tabloid reports claim that Jimenez has held talks with these Russians in Cyprus, with them having business interests in the country where the Charlton co-owner also has a property.

If sound investment comes into the club, with owners going about things the right way, the Addicks would make a very good investment as the club has bags of potential with the ability to do very good, and big, things!
