Charlton recovered from back-to-back defeats by ending the run of defeats at Scunthorpe on Saturday, but had to be content with a point following a draw.

Bradley Wright-Phillips (6) got Charlton off to a fine start when the striker put the visitors ahead but Scunthorpe were level when Jon Parkin (21) converted a penalty.

Neither side could score again so the points were shared in a 1-1 draw.
