Motherwell have signed Darren Randolph on a free transfer.

Randolph’s contract with Charlton ended this summer and instead of signing a new one with The Addicks, as Phil Parkinson wanted the 23-year-old opted to take up the Scottish Premier League clubs offer and sign a three-year contract with them.

It’s a shame to see the goalkeeper finally leave SE7 for good as he finally started living up to his potential when given a proper chance and a first-team run at the end of last season.

He should’ve stayed with us as it’ll not work out for him in Scotland. His loss, we’ve still got Rob Elliott who’s a better goalkeeper anyway.
