Chris Powell would like to be able to utilise the loan market when it re-opens, but admits to having doubts over the balancing game required at Charlton.
Transfer deadline day came and went without anything to really get excited about.
But Powell will consider using the loan window to freshen things up around the Valley but has admitted that he may need to move players on before he has the chance to bring new faces in.
“It hasn`t been easy for us with regards to trying to bring players in but the group have really done well this year,” Powell told london24.com
He continued: “Sometimes you might need a player to just give a fresh impetus.
“I`m like any other manager, I will have a look and if the possibility is there for us to do something I`ll do my best to do it.
“But it`s not easy financially we have a number of players here still.”
Two players still in the Charlton squad who Powell had hoped to have moved on are Danny Green and Bradley Wright-Phillips. The duo agreed a transfer deadline day move to Swindon last week, but due to their financial problems the moves were blocked by the Football League.
Those moves of course could be rejuvenated when the transfer window re-opens for the loan market.
