Potential Lyle Taylor replacement emerges – Holds a great goal scoring record

|

The possibility of Lyle Taylor’s exit in January still remains a hot topic in the Charlton world as he has netted 5 goals in 6 games for The Addicks so far this season.

A new name has emerged for a potential replacement for Taylor if he was to leave and that is Aberdeen’s Sam Cosgrove.

Cosgrove is a fan favourite at Pittordire since he moved from Carlise United last year and has been impressing ever since.

So far this season Sam has managed a remarkable goalscoring feat with 15 goals in 17 games in all competitions as a host of Championship clubs including Charlton are keeping tabs on the 22-year-old.

According to TEAMTalk Cosgrove could be available for less than £2million and with Charlton’s £4million bid for Ivan Toney getting turned down in the summer, signing this man is a real possibility.

With this fella smashing the goals in like theres no tomorrow, would you be happy to see Cosgrove join Charlton let us know in the comments below!

No doubt he may an excellent goalscorer in Scotland but l believe with the exception of a couple ot teams the standard is below that of the English leagues and for that reason l would prefer to keep Lyle Taylor who has a proven record in the English league. Also if Blielik was worth £10m to Derby that Lyle must be worth at least the same if not more. I can remember that many years ago Arsenal signed a very young player, who could not stop scoring goals in Scotland and was hailed as Scotlands future George Best. Peter Marinello?, who simply could not equal his record in the English Leagues. Whatever happened to him? I am sure that LB and others will look at him with interest and make the right decision if it becomes necessary

We must persuade Lyle Taylor to sign on for at least another year. If we don’t, he’ll have to leave in January just as we’ve found a goal scoring partner for him in Bonne. LT is s very special player and we would be very lucky to sign a replacement who could go even halfway to measure up to him.

Yes. been stating this for a long time and it looks very likely that Taylor will be “sold” for peanuts and yet another player going at bargain based prices and Bows will be off very soon.
Sort out their contracts but under this RAT of an Owner it is not going to happen.
Enjoy them and Charlton while we can.
