Patrick ‘BFG’ Bauer has been injured and will not be playing for at least two months after he has raptured his fibular collateral ligament.

Bauer’s future has been up in the air since he tweeted about him possibly moving at the end of the season. Despite this he has been good in defence and given his all for the Addicks so it’s very unfortunate for him to be in this position as it could possibly be his last season in a Charlton shirt.

The Big German signed for Charlton back in the 2015summer transfer window from Portuguese outfit Maritimo, where he played for a total of three years making 103 appearances for both the B side and the first team where he also scored 9 goals in total.

Before Maritimo there was a young Bauer coming through the youth ranks over at Stuttgart in Germany but only ever made the B team.

I hope Bauer has a quick recovery and we can see him bossing the defence once again.
