Parkinson Post Swindon

Charlton seemed to be looking defeat squarely in the eye until Nicky Bailey popped up to be the saviour again in the third minute of injury time at Swindon Town on Saturday.

Phil Parkinson (like we also knew before) knew that The County Ground wasn’t going to be an easy place to come but was disappointed with our early showing in the game as it wasn’t acceptable, Parkinson told BBC London 94.9: “Swindon is a tough place to come and they are an in-form team.

“We could have scored a goal before half time, but it was that early intensity that was our weakest part of the game.”

Yet another draw is disappointing but it’s better than defeat, and this looked a near certainty!

The Addicks boss does know though that we’ve got to start turning these draws into victories, Parkinson added: “I’m aware that we need to convert these draws into wins, and we are going to work hard to do that.”
