Parkinson Post Swindon

Pressure on Phil Parkinson? What Pressure! There was pressure on the Charlton boss but this really has been eased recently and Tuesday’s 3-0 win at Swindon Town helped even more.

A third straight win sees The Addicks on a good run of form that’s come since we were hammered at The Valley by Brighton & Hove Albion.

The Robins are no pushovers so that made the win at The County Ground all the more impressive, Parkinson said: “We were very clinical. We played some good football against a very good Swindon team, so I’m pleased with the lads.

“This is a difficult place to come, so to get a good win is very satisfying.”

If other results had gone our way we would have jumped up to second in the League 1 table behind the runaway leaders Brighton. It’s very congested below them though but at least (even at this early stage) we’ve kept ourselves very much in the hunt.

What is the thought among the Addicks followers on this site on Phil Parkinson’s thoughts on our Swindon win? Share these feelings below so we can discuss them.

That’s football for you though isn’t it. Things have quickly turned around for Parkinson, however the pressure could quickly be on once again!
