Parkinson Post Plymouth

Charlton proved once again that we’re the late goal kings as a Paul Benson strike in the dying seconds secured a 2-2 draw at Plymouth Argyle on Saturday.

Twice we came back from a goal down with Phil Parkinson happy with the response that we gave to going behind (early on) for the first time, however he felt that we’d done enough to win, Parkinson told BBC London 94.9: “I thought our performance warranted three points.

“We got off to a bad start, a goal from a long throw and we responded well.”

After dominating the second half the inability to force the breakthrough looked as though it would cost is when Argyle scored in the final 10 minutes but score we eventually did, he added: “I thought in the second half we really dominated the whole 45 minutes and we had a real spell of pressure where we couldn’t score.”
