Charlton slipped to their first League 1 defeat of the season at Huddersfield Town on Saturday afternoon, going down 3-1.

Phil Parkinson believes that we started the game well and were the better team for a large period but the concession of two quick goals turned the game in The Terrier’s favour, Parkinson told BBC London 94.9: “In the first half I thought we started very well.

“In the first twenty five minutes we were the better team but then we conceded two quick goals and gave Huddersfield a huge lift.”

Even in the second half The Addicks Boss felt we had our chances but chasing the game left us open at the back and this was exploited, adding: “In second half we had a lot of good openings but we left ourselves exposed at the back.”
